BBQ-style short ribs are the 5 short ribs from the chuck section of a beef animal cut into strips containing 3 bones and meat in between. We really enjoy this style of beef especially when we are making this recipe! We have made these BBQ-style Korean short ribs as an appetizer and as the main course. You can’t always find Korean short ribs at the meat counter but usually, if you ask the butcher to cut them this way for you, it’s no problem.
I first discovered a Korean Short Ribs recipe on the Food Network but have made some tweaks to make it our own. Bobby Flay also has a great Korean Short Ribs recipe on the Food Network but this is our go-to recipe because it’s easy and all of the ingredients are in our pantry. We grill these up on our Big Green Egg where the mix of the sweet and savory marinade with the smoke of the grill results in the perfect flavouring.
These Korean Ribs will be the star of your next barbecue served up with a crunchy slaw or potato salad. Oh man, I’m drooling already!
This recipe is on Day 7 of my 28 Day Meal Plan. Have you signed up yet? What are you waiting for? Let me take care of you this month.
