I like to keep things simple when it comes to my skincare and beauty routine. Once I find something I love, I generally stick with it until the product is discontinued. I’m not joking! I may switch out the odd lipgloss or two but even then, I am known to wear the same lipgloss for months maybe even years.
Despite this, I still love wandering the aisles of Sephora whenever I go to the city and I still love good quality beauty products. Unfortunately, there’s no perusing the beauty counters these days so I’m going to have to do an online order soon. So, I thought now was a good time to dump the old makeup bag and open up the powder room cabinet and share my favourite beauty products with you.
As luck would have it, the Sephora Spring Savings Event is on NOW and runs until April 29th. This is the perfect opportunity to stock up on the products you love and maybe try out a few new ones.

Hair Products
I actually have really curly hair that I blow out after a wash. I love the Bumble and Bumble Repair Blow Dry to protect my hair during a blowout. I’m also a huge fan of the Living Proof dry shampoo, especially right now. I think I should buy two of these! The Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray is really nice too.
Skin Care Products
I have desperately sought an all-natural skincare line that doesn’t irritate my eyes with no luck. I have been a Clinique girl for over 20 years now and, despite straying a few times over the years, I keep going back. This is all I use…along with some 30 block sunscreen whenever I head out in the sun, of course. I absolutely love the Original MakeUp Eraser remover cloth. It effortlessly removes my eye makeup with just water and it doesn’t create any waste. Of course, my favourite colour is pink so I have the pink cloth but it really shows the makeup so you might like the black one better.
Makeup
These are the products I use for my everyday makeup routine. It’s pretty basic. I LOVE the Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette. I’ve heard rumours it is being discontinued which would be devastating for me! The Watt’s Up Highlighter is absolutely one of my favourite things. It just gives you that extra glow. I also really like the Urban Decay Primer Potion. It has a bit of a shimmer to it so sometimes I just wear that when I’m going for a more natural “I woke up looking like this” look.
Lips
I love lipgloss! These are a few that I have used and loved. My all-time favourite lipgloss isn’t available at Sephora but I’ve shared it at the end of this post anyway. I definitely cannot live without the Mac Lip Conditioner. I have tubes of the stuff everywhere!
Self-Care
We’re not heading out anywhere for the foreseeable future but that doesn’t mean we can’t take care of ourselves…maybe even indulge in a Saturday spa day. Here are some of my favourite self-care products for the perfect spa day. And let’s face it, sunkissed skin just looks healthier. Soon we’ll be wearing sundresses and cropped pants but our skin hasn’t seen the sun in months. I love the St. Tropez Self-Tanning products for those early days in the summer and the first couple of days on a hot vacation (if I haven’t been able to get in for a spray tan).
Time to Experiment
I was thinking that right now is the time to experiment with a few new products while in isolation. Here are some products that I am going to check out based on the recommendation of a few beauty experts I know. I’m really interested in the Drunk Elephant skincare line because their products are considered “clean”. As I mentioned earlier, I am on the hunt for a more natural skincare line that doesn’t irritate my skin.
Not Sephora But Still My Favourite
Here are a few more beauty product favourites that I use daily but you can’t find at Sephora. You CAN still order online though if you’re currently avoiding going into shops or your favourite shops are closed. I’m pretty sure you can find the Clarins lipgloss and the St. Tropez products at Shoppers.
The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer was my all-time favourite product in 2019. I love it! It has cut down my hairstyling time immensely. You can read my review here. It’s also amazing for traveling because now I don’t need to pack a hairdryer, round brush and straightening iron, it does all of it for me!
Wow, for someone who keeps it simple, I sure have a lot of potions and creams that I love. This also became quite apparent as I was organizing my cosmetic drawer and cabinet this week. Oh well, can we really ever have too many beauty products?
I hope you’ll share with me what you end up buying during the Sephora Spring Savings Event. I’m so excited to get shopping!
