Last year we wanted to celebrate my son Riley’s convocation with a family vacation to Europe. We thought it would be a chance for us to reconnect after he had been away at college and before he entered the ‘real world’ in his chosen career.

Riley has always been interested in World War II which was the inspiration for this trip. Our journey took us through France, Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic but started in beautiful Paris where we chose to capture this amazing adventure with a photo session.

I had read about Flytographer on social media and loved their story. A Canadian start-up company founded in 2013 connects travelers with photographers in over 275 destinations around the world. You might have seen the founder, Nicole Smith on the Dragon’s Den when she turned down the Dragons’ deal but still went on to build a multi-million dollar company! I knew that booking Flytographer would be the perfect way to have some beautiful photos of the three of us that weren’t selfies.

Our photographer Olga did a wonderful job capturing our little family on the Bir Hakeim Bridge above the Seine River with the Eiffel Tower in the background. She was sweet and fun and super easy to work with and my photos were ready to download before we were home from Europe!

We didn’t have a lot of time in Paris before heading out to the beaches of Normandy so we only booked a 30-minute session but I loved our pictures so much I wish we had booked a session in all of the cities we visited!

It was 10 days with my husband and son that I will never forget and I will cherish these photos forever. I will definitely book Flytographer again on another vacation.

Save $25 on your first Flytographer session when booking through this link! I look forward to hearing about your Flytographer experience!

  1. […] A part of those plans was to book a photo session with Flytographer. We first used this service in Paris a couple of years ago and I was so happy to have photos of my family that were professionally done and not selfies. You can read about our Flytographer experience in Paris here. […]
